Remember those old boring galas where people stood around and maybe drank a little, had dinner and bid on some auction stuff and we stood around with nothing much to do until the crowd descended upon us in hoards? Well, the IIA is making that all go away with their new, let's-have-some-fun attitude. No more auction. No stodgy dinner. No stuffy cocktail hour. This year's event will be games galore, music galore and fun with a capital F. WWii stations, putter golf holes, Latin music on stage, dancing in the aisles...this year does sound like fun and SVWR has been asked to provide volunteers. We would man the game stations and monitor the guests, maybe help with guest traffic during the event. AND we're invited to eat with the guests and participate where appropriate. No counting cash - no auction check out! Whee!
